Was ist das besondere an Dotwork Tattoos?
Mit Dotwork tritt eine neue Dimension in die Tattoo-Welt ein, welche die einzigartige Technik des Tätowierens beschreibt. Abgeleitet aus dem Impressionismus und Pointillismus werden schwarze Punkte aneinandergereiht, und damit Formen und Linien gebildet. Dieser Stil eignet sich vor allem für detailreiche Muster, Ornamente und dünn und filigrane Design.
Die Technik
Essentiell bei Dotwork-Tattoos ist die korrekte Technik, bei der sehr viel Erfahrung und Können seitens des Tätowierers nötig ist. Die entsprechende Kunst für sich, ist das vollständig korrekte Aneinandersetzen der Punkte. Die regelmäßigen Punktabstände sind also am wichtigsten, denn wenn die Abstände zu klein sind, verschwimmen die Punkte im Laufe der Jahre ineinander. Jeder Punkt muss sauber an der richtigen Stelle sein, da kleinste Abweichungen bereits sofort ins Auge fallen. Es ist also sehr viel Präzision und Geduld erforderlich.
Diese Methode ist einmalig im Bereich des Schattierens und lässt Realismus auf seine eigene Weise zum Leben erwecken. Es sind erstaunliche Schattierungen möglich, jedoch sind diese meist begrenzt, da die Punkte bewusst im Vordergrund stehen. Möglich sind dennoch ganze Sleeves im Dotwork-Stil, wobei mehrere Sitzungen durch den hohen Zeitaufwand nötig sind.

This method is unique in the field of shading and brings realism to life in its own way. Amazing shading is possible, but it is usually limited as the dots are deliberately foregrounded. It is nevertheless possible to create entire sleeves in the dotwork style, although several sessions are necessary due to the time involved.
